Warbler and Power Outage

Two notes from today:

1. Why my power went out.

2. Townsend's Warblers LOVE suet dough!

Wow, was that right near your house? That wind kept the bird action down in my yard today. You probably got more action since yours in more sheltered/enclosed.I need a cute stump to put the suet on too!

Yep, it was right across the street! The power went out and soon enough a fire truck showed up to secure the area. Yikes! Some birds, mostly sparrows today but it gets pretty windy here, too.

Holy shit, that tree! Yep, that would certainly explain a lack of power around those parts...oy vey. Adorable birdie, though. His cute presence happily pecking the suet makes up for the mishegaas of the fallen tree (in my opinion--of course, it wasn't MY power that went off....)

I just had a Townsend's at my suet cake, but the Chestnut-backed Chickadees were higher in the pecking order and kept chasing it away.
